Never done it but seen a 4wd dyno being used to dyno rides like Subaru's & Audi AWD's, etc.

I've thought about it just to see the torque generated by the 3.15's and 4.90's

Jason A did a long time ago. I think his 2.6 turbo was putting out 270 hp and some pretty decent tq figures.

That was on a 12A turbo.

As nice as it would be.. a 12a did not make 270hp.. I hope Jason can post on here.

You would have to take that up with him, he was the one who had the testing done.

It was a 9 to 1 motor with a ported head and a very well built bottom end. Including the block mod to reduce windage.

I knew your not trying to miss lead any one. I have been working and messing with the turbo 2.6 for 15 years now. And I dont think I have yet seen any one more then 230hp with the 12a and that was myself running it at 28psi. not saying you cant make more then 230 but 270 is a very long way from 270hp

I have run a 2.6 with the stock carb conquest tbi and a MPI intake all N/A. I have run with the tbi turbo and mpi I have personaly run 5 diff turbos over the years.

I dyno'd a couple of my 3.0L blower engines on a Mustang eddy current machine. I've forgotten the numbers shown at the wheels, but adding a bit for driveline losses, I figured 225HP/300TQ at the flywheel with ~6psi.

So much of the derived numbers on dynos depend on too many variables to ever take the numbers seriously for anything other than a vehicle-to-vehicle relative comparison (on the same machine with the same settings), or for a same vehicle comparison when making adjustments to engine variables.
