Sean is right. You cannot just swap the entire 3rd since the VX has a 4.30 ratio and trooper has a 4.56. You will need to swap the carrier only from an open 3rd into the VX 3rd. Once they are swapped, you will need to check backlash and engagement pattern.

VX uses the same rear axle as the 92-97 trooper

you could also use this as an opportunity to do a gear swap.......you could get an open 4.56 rear 3rd and also swap in a front 4.56 10 bolt 3rd

lots of cool options for hte VX owners

Awsome job i think it's great that you have a 12 bolt locker coming out as well as a 10 bolt and the 3.07 gear set's I'm definetly looking forward to ordering them.
