Is there any interest in a 4x4wire net?
Russ

Basically, just a network of stations communicating with each other. At least that's what we call it in the Navy. I think, here, Russ is just talking about a predetermined time and frequency that 4X4 wire members will be notified of so we can "practice" communicating with each other. For newbs like me, it'll be a chance to practice setup and get talking. I think it's a great idea...

Now, I just have to get a speaker/microphone thingy play around with...

Nets are just regularly scheduled
on-the-air meetings of hams with common interests. Sometimes the interests
are strictly for pleasure, such as collecting things, playing radio chess, or pursuing
the Worked All States awards. Other nets are more utilitarian, such as
those for traffic handling, emergency services, weather reporting, and so forth.

When I will back from my trip to the Europe(after May 16), I will setup 4x4wire Echolink conference. Then we can use linked repeaters for net.
