So you guys with the LWB 3.0 engines only have a 13 gallon tank? LM off at Mitsubishi's faux pas on that.

Who said that? The 3.0 SWB is around 18 and the LWB is a bit more maybe 23?

Info pulled from printed Mitsu brochure's.

'87 Raider (99% sure Monty would be the same for the year)

15.9 gallon tank.

'90 Montero

SWB 19.3 gallon

LWB 24.3 gallon.

I'd scan and paste, but I dont have a scanner :-)

If it's offroad only, definately put a fuel cell in. you don't have to worry about crushing a tank anymore and it can help your departure angle

SO has anyone tried putting the bigger 6 cylinder tank in the 4 cylinder trucks? Fabbing up a fuel cell is out of the question for me right now.

did a quick search as i thought this has come up before and it does not look like the v6 tank will bolt right in.

No, because it won't fit in between the leaf springs.

I wonder with the 2" body lift installed if you did the gas tank lift (that Mark and others have done) but instead of putting the 4 Cyl Tank back would you then be able to squeeze the V6 tank in between the leaf springs? I don't know the design of the gas tank so I can't mentally picture it in my head.
