FUN Shootin at the gun range
      #1064350 - 12/27/07 12:24 AM

Took Carlos (cap510) out to the range today to try out some hand guns as He's looking to get one,and he amazed me with how well he could shoot. He was able to hit a piece of 1/4 in
cord at 15 yards. Only problem was that it was the line used to retrieve the target in the next lane:o .On a bright note nobody was shootin in that lane

An S&W 686? I've been contemplating picking up one of those. What size barrel did you get?

4 inch. Pre Lawyer lock also. Stainless with wooden grips. this thing is fricking sweet. I have been dreaming about one for 3-4 years, and I FINALLY came across one that was a bargain, and "pulled the trigger"

Alot of folks say the the pre lawyer lock ones are more desirable, but I really wouldn't have cared. I'll get some pics up, and make a new post in a bit.

S&W has made the lawyer locks as inobtrusive as possible. Easy to use (if you see fit), and even easier to ignore.

I went to the range with one of our retired special agents. Squeezed off a few from his 625 Mountain gun. That was loads of fun. I'd like to pick up another S&W wheel gun soon.

Hard to Ignore when it locks up on you under recoil, and makes the gun Inoperable. I've heard of 2 instances where this has happened. I'm going to take some pics now. Stand by
