yes , i do have another project in the wings .. I actually started it before the Trekker , so I'm very anxious to get back on it ..

still prepping for paint ..
got the firewall all cleaned up .. found a wee bit of rust , but soon got that dealt with
cleaning up the firewall
all wire wheeled , and cleaned
scuffed and zinc'd
also got the underside scuffed and zinc'd
the topside and bottom side wil be "sealed" in the paint booth ...
ant last but not least .. I POR-15'd the inside of the rockers , cab corners , and cowl ... I was able to scuff the rockers and cab corners when I had them apart .. the cowl I was not able to ..
I dont know how well the POR will work in the cowl , but I figured It would be better then nothing
and YES .... tomorrow it goes to paint the inners :)

buttoned up the Power steering lines today .. but found my return line just a few inches to short .. I'll have to replace that !!
originally , there was /is a bracket for the Main power wire for the starter , housed in a white plastic surround , just around the face of the oil pan ... I wanted to keep it , so I made up a new bracket for the wire casing to "clip" to .. as well as a support for the P/steering line

pic I forgot to post ...
anyway , the last thing i had to do before the inner paint .. was the new windshield washer nozzles ..
now located on the hood ..
holes cut
and nozzles installed
I also finished the underside , I made the holes for 3 washer hose clips ..
and thats it for now ... deliverd for some color

Is that your second gen xtra cab? The one with the grey doors and the white bed? Man I love those. I just retired mine and I want another, but the '89 4runner and the '93 xtra cab are all the Toyota 4x4's I can justify right now. Someday though. -- Matt

yep .. it's the shop truck + my curent DD .. used and abused :)

couple of little things .. + got the P/S return line replaced ..
