TIME FOR SOME BOOST........
      #1046859 - 10/18/07 06:43 AM

wellone and all here is the start of my turbo fit up.....
have been flat out at work and i havent done much....
and am still waitin for some more bits to arrive.....
first of all you need to make some ROOM for the the turbo.......

the battery in the oz ones sits right against the firewall on the left hand side of the engine bay.....to make romm(and a heap at that)..you need to relocate the battery longways so it sits against the left guard.......made a few brackets.....and mounted the battery tray like so and all you do is lengthen the positive cable ....used huge battery cable for good power supply .......seems to have made a difference to performance just by doin that ......but i dont think so....the battery was disconnected for a while and when i connected it , its goin heaps better .....so i think i cleared some gremlins hey.....haha..
more in a couple of days .....Ads

What turbo are you using. I have a low milage turbo out of a 89 Ford Probe that I was planning on installing intill I sold the Kia to my boy. Now that I am buying the kia back I will try to install it after winter. My oldest by and one of his friends good at turbo installs. My boy just built up a Sportage engine and strocked it to 2.2L with a Probe crank for his 89 Probe GT. He is breaking it in with out the turbo and can still out run most of the Honda's around here. When he gets the turbo on he is hopping for mid to high 11s in the quarter mile. He was running in the high 13s with a stock FE3 and a Subaru WRX turbo in his non GT Probe but could not get traction intill half way through 3rd gear. Anyway I was just curious. Keep us posted on your install.
