Clutch Recomendation 88 22RE 4x4
      #1011831 - 06/14/07 08:50 AM

Subject: Basically stock high mileage 88 22RE 4x4 with headers - non tagged, used for mud/rock play + snow pushing, towing & general property maitenance work.

Need recomendations for a low budget clutch or maybe a disc/pressure plate/throwout bearing kit. ** Alternatively is there a salvage yard bolt on upgrade?

Thank you, Matt

Stock Asco clutch is the best. Check out www.jtoutfitters.com call them and specifically ask for an Asco clutch. Last time I checked they were $99 for a 4cy kit and $150 for a V6 kit.

When my original clutch went on my 95 truck, I put in a Centerforce I clutch. So far, the clutch has 100K miles on it and is still going. I think the cost was ~ $130.

If you want a nice upgrade to a stocker the Luk pro-gold is very nice. Runs about $180 from dial-a-clutch.com Their OE style clutches are also good quality at around $80.
