ISUZUwharrie Summer 4xFun-Run ~ July 29 - Aug 2
      #526396 - 05/24/04 03:03 AM

The votes are in…and there were no hanging chads!

Warn your boss you're planning to call-in WELL

This IS NOT an 'Isuzu Only' sort of thing...
In fact, ALL semi-well-behaved 4-wheel-drive fanatics are welcome to come, no matter what brand of 4x4 they happen to drive! --- Just don’t be surprised if you're completely surrounded by a bunch of Isuzus!

So, YIN? / YOUT?

* Since last year, the Forestry Service has CHANGED their collection policy for TRAIL USAGE FEES:

There are no longer any ‘honor system’ collection stations at the trail-heads. --- Instead, you’ll have to get your daily or season trail pass(es) from the Ranger Station, or from several local authorized stores, such as The Eldorado Outpost.

--- The Daily Pass is still $5-per-day.
--- The Season Pass will cost you $30 for the whole year.

EVERYONE who has a campsite will want to bring some, but if you can also add to the main site's wood supply, please do… it will help a whole lot.

I will hopefully be there on Friday night and stay till Sunday. It is such a close drive for me that I am not going to take a day off of work. I don't know if I am going to reserve a site this time; I might just bunk with one of you nice guys. Hopefully I can get some stuff done to my 88 yota before we go. I am fixing to start tearing down my friends 88 4runner and doing a rebuild on it. It puked a head gasket. I hope it won't take too long and sure hope it didn't do to much damage. I don't know yet if I will be flying solo; my wife is seeing if she has that weekend off. I also have another friend that is interested. He has a 99 z71 blazer. We shall see....

I'm really hoping that the S-curve on Daniel will be well-worn by the time July rolls around. - I've finally got a prayer of making it up that section, all-on-my-own, when it's not been paved-over with compacted stone.
