2.6 head question

Have heard the stories for years about the notorious 2.6 head cracking issues. (I'm now living that dream also.)Just curious, where do they normally crack? I expected to see something right by the jet valves, but my two center cylinders are cracked at the narrowest point between the valves. Is this the "normal" spot?

Re: 2.6 head question

That's where they crack, except for one I had that cracked in the exhaust port and passed a pressure test...

Yep, mine cracked right between the narrow part of 3 and 4. I had a few other cracks but I would have to find the pic of them since I dont remember exactly where.
