OK guys, I have finally decided to let it go, I rescued this truck from Dat last year, was gonna transfer everything to my SWB, however after I brought it home it turn out to be a good running truck and I just could not see my self taking it apart. Also my main Montero engine die on me so now my priority is to get my big Montero on the road again. This truck has alot of history. (do a search on 6" Montero lift) I got it up and running really good now and its registered and ready to go: Here is some info on it: - 1997 MoOntero Sport LS - 3.0L V6 AUTO Tranny - One and only 6" suspension lift - Front/Back ARB lockers set-up with CO2 - 4.90 R&P gears - Front ARB winch bumper (no winch included) - Rear custom tube bumper - Rock Sliders - 15x10 Chrome wheels (needs new tires) - Manual Hubs - Really nice stereo system with MP3 hook-up - CB radio - Key-less entry - Tinted windows all around Truck Only has 120K miles on it and runs really good. I like to give the 4x4wire members the opportunity to buy it before I list it else where, I like to get $3K for it to basically cover the cost. If I list it somewhere else I'll probably ask for more... There is over $5K worth of parts on the truck. If someone was to install ARB lockers and gears to a Monty rightnow, they'll be looking at spending around $3K... So priced at $3k it's a fair deal. Here are some pictures of the truck sitting on my 35" MTRs, its got room for 37s (not included in the sale... see above info) ![]() ![]()

Wow. Hope it stays in the wire family. How did you end up with Dats Sport by the way? I was wondering where he's been |

Think it could handle the drive to Ohio? Man, that's tempting. |

Quote: Hey Angelo, Well Dat parked the Sport at his RV storage place and kind of forgot about it due to other priorities... After I got my SWB I decided to build it up a lil bit and happened to talked to Dat during that time so asked him about the Sport and He was willing to let it go. Long story short, I end up drivng to LA and brought it home with me... unfortunately my big Montero broke down so I end-up not doing much to SWB... my priorities changed and now I just want to get my black Monty running again. Plus I really could not see my self taking the sport apart since its a "ready to rock" truck. ![]() I can probably get more money selling in parts but dont want to do that, I hope I can find someone here that can put it to good use. |

Quote: I just started driving it around town as a daily driver and it feels good so far. I took it a a 2 hour trip and did fine. I would think it should be fine but cant guaranted it, I have not driven it for too long... I do however plan on taking it on my very next long trip (wherever that takes me) and we'll see how it does... If you are interested we can try to work something to get most of the prep done for the long haul before you come take it.
