lean 22R?

ever since i built my 22R and had the carb rebuilt(never ran on its own before the carb was rebuilt so nothing to compare to) my 22R seems like it's ran sort of lean. when i pull my spark plugs out, they look about new except for being little lighter(like they've been getting hot). it runs alright, a little spluttery when cold starting(i attribute that to my 268 cam and lean mixture not burning well when cold), and it occasionally pings a little if i really get on it when jumping on the freeway.

is there any way to adjust the high rpm mixture on one of these carbs? my float level is perfect, timing is dead on 8*.

other than that, what improvements could i make? for ignition, i'm currently running autolite 64s(yeah, yeah i know, but my coil beats up those NGK v-power plugs and i never noticed a difference in driveability) with an .045 gap and an accel super coil, taylor plug wires. maybe switch to a little colder plug?
