Re: Happy Earth Day!

I was off duty one afternoon while stationed at Eglin AFB, FL. Just so happened the Enterprise was en route to Canaveral after its mission; piggybacked on a 747; stopped over for a crew swap. It's amazingly small, and more so, amazing how much those crews accomplished in their time. The Hubble still never ceases to amaze with its findings.

RIP Challenger. I was at Shaw AFB, SC that fateful day. Flying was shut down. I was competing for a stripe the day the first one was launched, at Wurtsmith AFB, MI. Told the board we were missing aviation history sitting there.

My, how time has passed.
