Re: '91 montero rear prop shaft output seal question and u-joints

I just did my rear driveshaft u-joints last weekend & had problems getting them to move after removing the clips. I ended up soaking them with PB Blaster, let them sit for several hours, then heated them up with a propane torch. I used the vise with a large impact socket on the receiving end & a smaller one as the press, and finally got them out without bending the yoke, but with much cursing & beating on the vise handle with a hammer. Once they initially broke loose, they pressed out fairly smoothly, but I was really worried about damaging the yoke. Bottom line-be patient and utilize options other than brute force.
