I have 95 sr. and apparently it has aftermarket dealer installed module on it...? The original fob has mitsu sign on it and is falling apart. I got several fobs I ordered online- None of them worked. I was told to go to local car electronics shop or key smith which will cost more and haven't done it yet.It may be that the 96 has same issue.

Yea, if it comes to Mitsu dealer they will charge upwards of $100, with that I can get a really nice after market with engine start for those freezing winter days.
