There's several spot on the web where people pull them apart and compare them. Everyone says Fram stinks.
Purealator Pure One scores pretty well in these reviews, and it's inexpensive. I use it.
This is also an often-discussed topic, if you hit the search button.
Boy, if you though the oil was a mess, opening the filter is really opening a can of worms.
