That area is commonly a high pressure zone with low air flow. Be aware that some vehicles seem to retain more heat in the engine bay with that type of cowling. If you ever see air flow testing in slow motion, the air can reverse flow right in front of the windshield.

Hopefully heat won't be an issue anyway.
