Question about fuseable link in wiring harness

1985 4Runner 22RE is the vehicle, on the wiring harness that the engine fuse block is located, should there be fuseable link from the battery terminal to the power wire running out of the bottom of the fuse block? My 85 has one fuseable link and my 84 22R has two small fuseable links. If it needs fuseable link, what size should I replace my 22RE with?

Thanks and sorry for the horribly worded question.
