Ian Johnson, host of Xtreme 4x4, brings the 2009 Griffin Thermal Products King of the Hammers - the toughest one day off road race in the world - to your living room this weekend!  Set your alarm and DVR for Saturday June 27th or Sunday June 28th at 12:30pm EST & PST on Spike TV.  Check your local listings to confirm time and channel.

Ian joined the 92 drivers in the desert on February 26-27, 2009 as man and machine competed against The Hammers at Johnson Valley OHV, CA.  The two day hard core battle has been whittled down to 30 minutes of action packed racing.  You will see some of the top racers including this years King: Jason Scherer. Also featuring Casey Currie, Rick Mooneyham, Adam Woodlee and the 2008 King of the Hammers winner Shannon Campbell, race promoters Jeff Knoll and Dave Cole along with many many more.

You will get to see the amazing pieces of machinery that are specially built just for this race.  Racers and their crews talk about working to create vehicles with the perfect 4x4 mix of desert racing and rock crawling.

“It was great to work with the entire Extreme 4x4 staff,” says event promoter Dave Cole, “they have an amazing ability of capturing the energy of an event and delivering it to the audience.”

This is a show not to be missed!
