April 6, 2017 - DNR seeks input on Round River Drive ATV trail proposalThe Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Parks and Trails Division invites public review and written comments on a proposal by the city of Akeley to obtain grant-in-aid funding for 5.36 miles of all-terrain vehicle (ATV) trail on county land in Hubbard County, 1 mile northwest of Akeley.
The trail – known as the Round River Drive ATV Grant-in-Aid Addition—will be maintained by the city of Akeley and the Akeley Paul Bunyan ATV Trail Riders. The entire 5.36-mile trail section is now open to ATV use. The trail will also be available for horses, mountain bikes, hiking, hunting, skiing, snowmobiling and dog-sledding.
The DNR will accept written comments until 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 3. Comments may be submitted:
