It's a special year: Nebraska turned 150 in March, and Game and Parks is celebrating this milestone all year long with special events and activities. You can take part in the fun by participating in Game and Parks' 150 Challenges. They include:

  • Nebraska 150 Challenge: Complete 150 miles or more of physical activity in 2017. State parks are a great place to rack up miles, with plenty of places to walk, run, bike, hike, swim and paddle. Staff at various parks will offer 150 miles of guided hikes throughout the year. A schedule is on our website.
  • 150 Bird Challenge: List all of the bird species that you see or hear in Nebraska in 2017, with a goal of reaching 150 species. Now is a great time to get started, thanks to spring migration! Resources are available online.
  • Fish 150 Challenge: Catch 150 fish in Nebraska waters in 2017. As you work towards this goal, share your extraordinary catches on social media using the hashtag #NE150fish and gain one entry into our Nebraska 150 Fish Challenge prize drawing.

For information on other Nebraska 150 events, visit our website.
