| Wild horse tracks along the Mojave Road |
East of Barstow - south of the freeway between Los Angeles and Las Vegas - is The Mojave National Preserve. It is a beautiful place. Larger than some states, it is a huge triangle of land in eastern California that is under the control of the National Park Service. Since it is now a Preserve, it's unlikely that there will ever be any development allowed here. It will remain a wild place for our children's grandchildren.
The Mojave National Preserve is beautiful and scenic, immense and wild.
