The article editor supports both plain text, such as with MS-Word, OpenOffice Doc, and Notepad/Wordpad; and raw html code, which is what web pages are made of.

The text editor offers all the functions needed to create an article, to include: insert an image, insert a horizontal line ("rule"), weblinks, and text formatting, among others. Hover over the icons to see what each one does.

It is recommended that you only use the raw html editor if you experienced with html. Additionally, if you attempt to mix html in the text editor, the editor will interpret it as text - and ignore your tags.

If you start an article with the text editor, it is recommended to finish it in that mode. Pulling a text article into the html editor will result in numerous format errors and missing tags.

We've set up a Sandbox as an area to test the editor functions. Registered users can create a test article and fool around with it to test all of the functions. If you'd like to use the Sandbox, simply create an article, and for the Section select Sandbox. (From time to time, we will empty the Sandbox, so please don't use it as a holding area for articles you wish to publish.)
