The Wisconsin Off-Highway Vehicle Association’s 2nd Annual Great Northern Trail Ride

The Wisconsin Off-Highway Vehicle Association (WOHVA) is happy to announce that the 2nd Annual Great Northern Trail Ride will held on the Mole Lake Indian Reservation on August 20th, 21st, 22nd & 23rd, 2009.  The Mole Lake Casino & Lodge serves as the host site for this outstanding event.  If you can only get out on the trail once this year, you’re gonna want to make this the event you attend!

In August of 2007, the Sokaogon Mole Lake Band of the Lake Superior Chippewa Tribal Council passed a Resolution which granted WOHVA exclusive access to Tribal lands for OHV recreational events!   The Mole Lake Reservation is located in Forest County, Wisconsin (deep in the heart of the North Country).  These trails are available only for private riding events and are not open to public recreation.  The result is an area that few have ever seen and even fewer have been able to access with OHV’s!

To state that “You can be one of only a few OHV recreational users to explore the area” doesn’t start to do this opportunity justice!  You’ll not only see the site of the controversial Exxon Mine, but you’ll view several private lakes and areas not open to the public!  Not to mention, you’ll be able to explore the area while negotiating trails that were specifically designed to challenge both your driving skills and the capability of your vehicle.

Trails are available for 4-Wheel Drives, ATV’s and OHM’s.  They range in difficulty from novice to extreme.  There is quite simply, “Something for everyone!” on over 7000 acres of land.   Mark your calendars now and join us for this truly awesome event!

Event registration is now open.  Participation is limited to the first 100 vehicles in each of the aforementioned vehicle types!  Be sure to register early!!!  Visit http://www.wohva.com for registration information.

Room reservations are available by contacting the Mole Lake Casino & Lodge (715) 478-3200.  For camping contact the Mole Lake Tribal Forestry Department at (715) 478-7560.
