Earth Day Calico Clean Up

California Association of Four Wheel Drive Clubs - South District

Southern California off-roaders are invited to join the California Association of Four Wheel Drive Clubs in a trail clean-up event marking Earth Day, 2001. The April 21-22 weekend marks Earth Day 2001 and Cal4Wheel will be celebrating the weekend with this cleanup project. A free barbecue is scheduled for Saturday evening to be followed by a raffle. Camping space is available.

Saturday at 8 am work parties will leave camp for a day of trash pickup. Participants are requested to bring work gloves and trash bags.

Sunday is set aside for play time on the trails around the ghost town of Calico.

Directions:

I-15 - take the Yermo exit and urn left on Calico Road.

Go 1.1 miles to Mule Canyon (GPS: 3455264, 11650929)

Turn Right on Mule Canyon.

At .7 mile mark, turn left before going into the canyon (GPS: 3455713, 11650521).

Camp will be in the large clearing up against the hill. Follow the signs !!

Come help clean up our trails and have some fun too! See you there!
