Ever wonder what that acronym means??  When reading the various news reports about issues affecting motorized recreation and public lands, a number of terms and letter combinations are used.  If you need to know the meaning of ACEC, NEPA, or WSA, MUIRNet Glossaries is now on-line and provides a definition of those and many other terms.





With each congressional session, many bills are introduced that have an impact on recreation.  A list of select legislation being considered by the 112th Congress is now available for on-line review.  The NRC-legislation list is updated monthly.

And, the economic impact of recreation is often mentioned.  Recreation is viewed as a growth industry and a significant contributor to public lands and local communities.  A collection of economic impact studies is now available for download and review.
